3/21/12 Email sent from Norman Echelberry to Ormond Beach Airport Manager
Steven,
Today has been
another day where almost 19 out of 20 flights are not following the voluntary
noise abatement path going east on takeoffs, from 10:30 am to 2:45 pm and most
flying directly over my home. Almost all were EASA, Fly 4 Fun aircraft and a
few Embry Riddle. I was too busy working on the house to take photos.
There also was no unusual gap, such as close together that would force them to
turn early to go north. Some turn as soon as they reach the Tomoka River bridge
and almost fly the US 1 path as they go north.
Below in purple is the path flights I am complaining about took.
